Bad English 101

Received on friendster... from a student

Message: how are u? we all miss u!!!!!! so how is your life?
remember to go out with the gals okay................
good bye...........
take care.............
if you are free........... dO come down and to
school okay?
have a nice day................

Considering she's almost dyslexic (i think),
this message is almost perfect.
A sweet little girl from my 3NT class
soft-spoken, shy, fidgety,
pale and frail, hair pulled back into a ponytail
looking almost younger than she should at 15
pasty face framed with a pair of spectacles
hunched by the weight of her bag
dragging her limp body along
She tries really hard in class to follow
pretends to understand what i've taught
then struggles really hard with the work
almost ashamed to disappoint me
when i find out she has been copying

i want to know that i can make a difference
Please God give me the strength and the wisdom.

Funnily,
this shy and reserved girl has her fair share of admirer in class.
Taken off her testimonial page,
from a chubby boy in class, (definitely one of the better ones)
bi yu (her name) 2morrow is yr birthday..... i at here wish u a very gd birthday tis year... bye bye....
Sometimes i think i can compile these students' work and publish it into a book entitled
"Bad English 101"

"I at here wish you a very good birthday".... haha hilarious...
literally "wo zai zhe li zhu ni shen ri kuai le"
