to check out bohemian skirts and pressies for some teachers
we went to the Far East basement shops and walked around for a bit
then a green floral skirt caught my eye (Lolee i don't need you comments :p)

Well, the best form of marketing to girls is probably flattery
'cos the moment i stepped out of the fitting room
the sales girls went like "Hen mei! hen mei!" (very pretty very pretty)
Of course my head swelled lah
and it didn't look too bad other than the fact that it was puffy (no comments from Lolee please)
so i approached the cashier and asked for a new piece and the price (since there was no price tag attached to the skirt when i was looking at it in the fitting room)
she replied, saying that she had to scan it first as she didn't know the exact price
Seriously i didn't even notice if she scanned in the price
All i remember was hearing her say "$39.90 after discount", and swiping my nets card
while i remained straight-faced containing my shock at the exorbitant price
Socks tried a skirt from there too which costs $49.90 before discount
I'm glad she didn't buy it .. cos i was like mouthing to her "very ex"
We went to check out some other shops after that
and we found the exact same pattern at another shop selling at a lower price
nearly slashed double
luckily i didn't see my skirt, selling cheap at another shop
if not i would have died on the spot
Later, we saw a skirt with the same fabric sold at $59 at Future State
though slightly comforted, i still felt cheated
and i've a great mind to blacklist all the Far East shops, and the sudden impulse to write in to CASE
I think i shall stick with Zara, MNG, Topshop
until Dearie gets me LV, Gucci, Max Mara... haha *hint*
We also got down to buying our farewell gifts for our respective HODs
and my NY teacher who has been extremely nice to me,
so far, she's fed me with sushi, chicken curry, cake...
In the end, we ended up buying mugs from Tangs
Finally got it all wrapped up...

What else did i splurge my bonus on?
Bills bills bills .... (over due ones from my Long Distance calls with darl)
OH and some expensive online splurges .. thanks to Socks who got me addicted to online shopping
Rainbow Brite, I just loved colouring her when i was a kid. 'Cos that means being able to use a myriad of colors to fill in the picture.
After splurging on all these, the last item i bought aptly sums it all up! An Amici clutch. On the topic of cutesy things, Dearie bought me a Strawberry Shortcake Pencil Case... Ain't he sweet... it comes with cutesy scented pens too :)

Finally i'm waiting for my final splurge this month... i hope...

A Melie Bianco bag in metallic pink... drool... *rolls eyes*
