Picture Perfect

So
why do some people carry pictures of their girlfriends or boyfriends with them in their wallets?
i used to do that too
carrying "him" with me everywhere i went
now, call me a faithless unbeliever
i hate taking pictures with him
but then again, hate is too strong a word
maybe fear would be a better word
Don't get me wrong
I really love taking pictures
but pictures are really like memories
captured in a special moment
burn them, try to forget them
you'll never erase them from the point of time
when light is captured on a strip of film
and etched into your memory

I want to take a thousand pictures with you
of all the beautiful places that we'll go to
of all the wonderful things we'll do together
of all the lovely times we share
I want to take a thousand pictures with you

Darling .. i want to take
pictures of animals at the zoo
pictures of the sun setting by the beach
pictures of you and me in our silliest expressions
pictures of you and me together
pictures that will make me believe
pictures that i keep in my wallet
