Nocturne
the monotonous throbbing
of my reluctant heart
in protest
of life;
of love
like a bell that tolls
like the mournful droning
of a dirge
that lullabies the dead
in deafening silence
sometimes
the stars staccato
the vast expanse
orchestrating an allegro
on an endless manuscript
then it fades into a lull
residing in reticence
till the song bird awakens
and sings its song
so familiar yet strange
and the shrouded firmament
unveiling its glory
crescendos into a grandioso
and you discover
a canon of different movements
replayed
