Now, That's Love for You

She was fair, almost pallid
almost always
she was on crutches, wore a neck brace.
on worse days
she had to be wheeled around
the effects of chemotherapy
had gotten to her

She had the most delicate features
jet black hair, a pretty little face
you can see that surfacing from
beneath all the signs of death
He must have loved her deeply
i believe

He must really really hate God
for her being sick
I wonder how he pretends to love
her God, when his prayers
seem to be falling on deaf ears
Is it just an act, to make her happy
to make her better?
Or did he choose to believe
in the hope that it will make her better

He must really really love her
tho it must be painful
to see her life ebbing away
and those cancerous cells
devouring away at her immune system

He does not care that she's dying
He believes in her God
He still looks at her as if he's in love with her
He brings her back and forth church
He does not feel ashamed in want of abandoning her
This must really be love
