but i do love beautiful things
especially if they are sparkly
colourful, they make me happy
a mere look
takes away the ugliness
pervading my world, our world

from the highest heavens
it will probably look like this
diamonds are stars on earth
sometimes they're like rainbows
i realised it when Jie had her first diamond
and i couldn't help inspecting it closely
amazingly it captures a myriad of colours
like a kaleidoscope
the colours transform at every angle
it feels good wearing a "heavenly body"
on my finger now
my "star" may not be the brightest
it may not even be the biggest star
yet, my "rainbow" captures
the same spectrum of colours
but if love was measured by
the vastness of the skies
and that one star that shines the brightest
Tiff. and Co. have them made to perfection
