I am degenerating
into the scum of the earth
says Jie
School's out
This is what the holidays do to you
Rot
Today was the 2nd day i was supposed to go down to school for my school opening ceremony rehearsal
Smart aleck "I" decided to "volunteer" my services
and so i was assigned to "boss" a group of AVA students
hollering at them to "draw the curtains", "set up the mics", "remove the chairs"
blah blah blah
Now the AVA club of my school, as it is,
already has a super efficient leader
by the name of "Kelvin Singh"
Students like him are really double edged swords
Cos' with them around,
One does not have to worry about not getting work done
However, on the contrary,
these students have the tendency to trample all over your head
undermine your authority and make you look incapable
So anyway, i decided to "ponteng" today's rehearsal
Figuring there was someone else to "cover my ass"
Thanks Miss TMT
I ended up rotting at home
watching my favorite 20 episode Korean drama serial
on vcd for the umpteenth time
that was when i smsed Jie to tell her that i'm "reliving" the wonderful memories
of that evergreen drama
which led to the above comment by her
Later i met Jie at Bugis to walkabout
Stupidly, Jie didn't bring her wallet out to school
and both of us ended up window shopping instead
Pay day is 1 week away
Again, 1/4 of it has to go to Singtel for my bills
We went home for dinner which was wonderfully prepared by mum
Played the Korean drama before dinner
most parts of which i "fast-forwarded" through
cos i was only interested in the parts where my favorite actress and actor appeared

Hyong-Chul and Sun-Mi
Jie was teasing me about how i've watched this drama series for the umpteenth time
until she started tearing at this scene which was really touching
Guess what?
she too has watched it for the umpteenth time! Yet she cried.
Pharisee!
Now i should really get down to making myself useful this holidays
Initially on the To-Do list was
1)Learn to make sushi
2)Make my own accessories
Will i ever get started? This remains to be seen.
The younger teachers have been really nice to invite me to their hang-out sessions
today to karaoke, which i have politely refused
monday to badminton, *i don't have a racquet*
really wish to join them
but it's difficult to fit in sometimes
especially when half of me is in the school
while the other half wishes to get out
and disassociate myself from anything that is remotely linked to the school
Meanwhile
watching my favorite Korean drama
satisfies me for the time being
I am easily satisfied
